2. REGOLE

2.1 La regata sarà condotta secondo le Regole, così come definite dal Regolamento di Regata (RRS) 2013-2016 e dalla Normativa FIV per l’Attività Velico Sportiva in Italia in vigore.

2.2 La regata sarà disciplinata dalle regole della Classe Melges 24.

2.3 In caso di conflitto fra lingue diverse prevarrà il testo in lingua italiano.

2. RULES

2.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2013-2016 and by the current sailing regulations in force defined by the FIV in Italy.

2.2 Class rules of the Melges24 Class will apply.

2.3 The Italian version of this NoR shall prevail.

3. PUBBLICITA' e MEDIA

3.1 La pubblicità è libera come da Regola di Classe.

3.2 In base alla Regulation 20.4 ISAF, l’Autorità Organizzatrice può richiedere ai concorrenti di esporre una bandiera dello sponsor e/o adesivi. La bandiera e/o adesivo dovranno restare esposti dal giorno precedente e fino al termine delle regate. L'applicazione di quanto sopra è specificata in dettaglio nell’Allegato 1.

3.3 L’Autorità Organizzatrice può richiedere ai concorrenti l’installazione a bordo di strumenti elettronici per la copertura mediatica della manifestazione.

3.4 Ogni barca sarà dotata di apparecchiatura tracking fornita dallo sponsor Trac Trac.

3. ADVERTISING and MEDIA

3.1 The advertising is permitted according to Class Rule.

3.2 According to the regulation 20.4 ISAF, the Organizing Authority may ask competitors to display sponsor flag and/or stickers. The flag and the stickers must be displayed from the day before and until the end of the event. The correct display of the above is explained in the Appendix 1.

3.3 The Organizing Authority may ask competitors to install/carry on board electronic devices aiming to the media coverage of the event.

3.4 All boats will given a tracking device supplied by sponsor Trac Trac.

4. ELEGGIBILITA ED AMMISSIONI

4.1 La regata è aperta alle imbarcazioni Classe Melges 24.

4.2Tutti gli armatori delle imbarcazioni e i timonieri dovranno essere iscritti all’ Associazione di Classe Melges 24 della propria nazione e tutti i componenti degli equipaggi alla Federazione Vela della nazione di appartenenza. I concorrenti di nazionalità italiana dovranno essere in possesso di valida tessera FIV con la prescritta certificazione medica.

4.3 Per poter gareggiare nella Divisione Corinthians tutti i componenti dell'equipaggio dovranno essere Gruppo 1 come da sistema ISAF di classificazione dei concorrenti.

4.4 Le pre-iscrizioni dovranno pervenire alla Segreteria dell’A.V.A.V. via fax: +390332531635 o e-mail info@avav.it entro le ore 18.00 di giovedì 6 ottobre, complete di:

• Modulo di Iscrizione
• Copia Tessere FIV
• Copia Bonifico a saldo iscrizione
• Assicurazione in corso di validità per tutto il periodo della manifestazione con massimale di copertura di almeno € 1.500.000,00 o se in altra valuta per un importo equivalente
• Autorizzazione pubblicità FIV (se presente)

4.5 Le iscrizioni per ritenersi complete e valide dovranno essere perfezionate presso l’ufficio delle regate prima delle ore 10:30 di venerdì 7 ottobre con:

• Documenti di cui al paragrafo 4.4.
• Firma in originale del modulo di Iscrizione
• Peso Equipaggio completato

4. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

4.1 The race is open to the boats of the Melges24 Class.

4.2 All the boat owners and helmsmen must be registered with their National Melges24 Class Associations, and all crew members with their national sailing associations. Italian competitors shall submit their FIV licenses valid for the current year and the medical certification.

4.3 In order to compete in the Corinthians Melges24 Division all crew members will be Group 1 as per ISAF Classification System.

4.4 Pre-registration will be addressed to A.V.A.V. with fax +390332531635 or e-mail info@avav.it within 6.00 p.m. of Thursday October 6th, complete of:

• Entry form
• Italian Sailing Federation ID with renewed medical certification (Italian sailors only)
• Copy of the Entry Fee Payment
• Valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum coverage of € 1.500.000,00 per event or the equivalent amount if expressed in a different currency.
• Italian Sailing Federation Advertising Authorization (Italian boats only)

4.5 Registration must be completed at the Race Office before 10:30 a.m. of Friday October 7th with:

• Documents listed in paragraph 4.4
• Entry Form signed in original
• Crew Weight completed

5. TASSA DI ISCRIZIONE

5.1 La tassa di iscrizione è di € 250,00 se pervenuta entro il 5 ottobre. Le quote delle iscrizioni che non verranno formalizzate nei termini saranno aumentate di € 50,00.

5.3 La tassa di iscrizione include

• Varo
• Alaggio
• Sosta ed ormeggio

5. ENTRY FEE

5.1 The registration fee is € 250,00 if payed within the 5th of October. Late entries will be charged with € 50.00.

5.3 The entry fee includes :

• Launching
• Hauling
• Weiting & docking

6. EVENTS SCHEDULE

6.1 Luino, Lake Maggiore, October 7-9, 2016

6.2 A partire dal secondo giorno di regata, l’orario previsto per il primo segnale di avviso sarà esposto all’Albo Ufficiale entro le ore 20:00 del giorno precedente. In assenza di tale comunicato, l’orario del Segnale di Avviso sarà quello del giorno precedente.

6.3 L'ultimo giorno di regata, il tempo limite per l’esposizione del segnale di avviso sarà le 14:30.

6.4 Gli eventi sociali saranno pubblicati sull'albo dei comunicati e attraverso il programma dell’evento. Sono inoltre previsti eventi collaterali con classifiche separate, che saranno rese note all’Albo Ufficiale dei Comunicati.?

6.5 Per ciascuna barca iscritta alla manifestazione E’ OBBLIGATORIO l’ormeggio presso il Circolo Organizzatore al più tardi a partire dallo Skipper Briefing, negli spazi che verranno indicati sull’Albo Ufficiale dei comunicati.

6.6 E’ OBBLIGATORIA la presenza alla Premiazione di almeno 3 membri dell’equipaggio per barca.?Diversamente saranno applicate delle PENALITA’ che incideranno sulla classifica di Circuito, come meglio indicato nell’Allegato2.

6.7 Sarà redatta una lista degli Alaggi esposta sull’Albo dei Comunicati entro sabato alle ore 20.30.Per la corretta procedura da seguire si rimanda all’Allegato 3.

6.2 From the second day of race, the estimated time of the first warning signal will be posted on the official Notice Board by 8:00 p.m. of the previous day. If no notice is displayed, the starting time will be the same as day before.

6.3 On the last racing day no Warning Signal will be displayed after 2:30 p.m.

6.4 Social event programs will be posted on the Official Notice Board. Further events with separate rankings will be organized: these specific announcements will be also posted on the Notice of Board.?

6.5 IT IS MANDATORY that each boat attending the Event is moored at the organizing Yacht Club at the latest within the start of the Skipper Briefing, as indicated on the Official Notice of Board.

6.6 IT IS MANDATORY that at least 3 crew members atttend the pricegiving. In case of absence, PENALTIES will be applied having effect on the Results of the Circuit as specified in Appendix 2.

6.7 The hulling-out list will be published on the Notice of Board by Saturday 8.30 p.m.For the correct procedure please refer to Appendix 3.

7. STAZZE E PESATURA

7.1 Ogni barca concorrente dovrà presentare un valido certificato di stazza, prima dello scadere del termine ultimo delle iscrizioni.

7.2 Tutti i concorrenti dovranno rispettare le regole di stazza della classe. Potranno essere effettuati controlli prima dell’inizio delle regate e durante la manifestazione.

7.3 Non sarà disponibile servizio di misurazione nuove attrezzature.

7. MEASUREMENT AND WEIGHING

7.1 A valid measurement certificate for entry shall be presented to the organizing authority before the close of registration.

7.2 All competitors shall observe class measurements rules. There might be measurements checks before thet start as well as during the event.

7.3 No measurement of new equipment will be available at the venue.

8. RESTRIZIONI ALLA MESSA A TERRA

8.1 Tutte le imbarcazioni dovranno essere varate entro le ore 10:30 del giorno di inizio dell’evento.

8.2 Durante la manifestazione le imbarcazioni non potranno essere alate eccetto che con la preventiva autorizzazione scritta del CdR e secondo i suoi termini.

8.3 L'Autorità Organizzatrice si riserva il diritto di imporre vincoli all'alaggio delle barche.

8. HAUL-OUT RESTRICTIONS

8.1 All boats shall be launched before 10:30 a.m. on the first day of racing.

8.2 Boats shall not be hauled out during the event if not with a written permission of the RC and according to the rules.

8.3 The Organizing Authority may impose haul-out restrictions.

9. ISTRUZIONI DI REGATA

Le IdR saranno disponibili presso l’Ufficio della regata a partire dalle ore 09:00 di giovedì 6 ottobre.

   9. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

The Sailing Instructions will be available at the Race Office from Thursday October 6th at 9.00 a.m.

10. LOCALITA’ DELLA MANIFESTAZIONE

La manifestazione si svolgerà nell’area di regata illustrata dalle Istruzioni di Regata.

  10. VENUE

Racing will take place in racing area as per the Sailing Instructions.

11. PERCORSO

Il percorso sarà a bastone: bolina-poppa con l’utilizzo di un cancello di poppa e di una boa offset in bolina.

Il Comitato di Regata potrà prevedere percorsi differenti che verranno inclusi e comunicati quale opzione nelle istruzioni di regata.

 11. COURSE

The course shall be in a Windward – Leeward configuration with an offset mark beside the windward mark and leeward gate.

The Race Committee may provide different courses that will be included as an option and communicated in the sailing instructions.

12. PUNTEGGIO

12.1 E’ previsto un numero massimo di 8 prove.

Ogni giorno potrà essere disputato un massimo di 3 prove.

12.2 Sarà utilizzato il Sistema del Punteggio Minimo, come da Appendice A del RRS.

12.3 E’ sufficiente una (1) prova per rendere valida la Tappa.

12.4 Con il completamento di 6 prove valide verrà concesso uno scarto.

12. SCORING

12.1 A maximum of 8 races are estimated.

A maximum of 3 races may be hold on each racing day.

12.2 The Low Point System of RRS Appendix ‘A’ is applied

12.3 One (1) race is needed to validate the Event.

12.4 Only when 6 races have been completed, the worst score will be discarded.

13. PREMI

Coppe Challenger: Coppa Lino Favini al primo classificato, Coppa Campionato Svizzero al Campione Svizzero.

Premi definitivi ai primi 3 classificati ed ai primi 3 della classifica della divisione “Corinthian”.

Questo punto sarà precisato con un comunicato esposto prima delle regate.

Saranno sorteggiati sets di scotte offerte dalla Ditta Gottifredi e Maffioli ed altri oggetti offerti dalla Nauticaluino.

     13. PRIZES

Challenger Trophy: Lino Favini Cup shall be awarded to the winner, Swiss Championship Cup to Swiss Champion.

Final prizes will be awarded to top 3 overall and at the top 3 of the “Corinthian” division.

This point shall be specified with a notice before beginning of races.

Sets of lines supplied by Gottifredi e Maffioli and other articles by Nauticaluino will be drawn.

14. VHF

14.1 Durante le fasi di partenza il Comitato di Regata, in abbinamento ai segnali visivi e sonori, potrà comunicare via radio, VHF canale 08, i numeri velici o i numeri di prua delle imbarcazioni OCS. L’uso, o il mancato uso, del VHF da parte del Comitato di Regata, non potrà in alcun caso essere oggetto di protesta o richiesta di riparazione.

14.2 Una barca non effettuerà alcun tipo di trasmissione mentre è in regata e non ascolterà segnali che non possano essere ricevuti da tutti i concorrenti. Tale limitazione comprenderà l'uso di telefoni cellulari e qualsiasi dispositivo elettronico

    14. VHF

14.1 During the starting procedure, in addition to sound and flag signals, the Race Committee may use VHF channel 08 to call out OCS sail or bow numbers. The use of VHF radio communication, or failure of using it by the RC, shall not be considered as valid reason for protesting or requesting of redress in any case.

14.2 A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to any other boat. This restriction also applies to mobile phones and any other electronical device.

15. RESPONSABILITA’

I concorrenti partecipano alle regate a loro rischio e pericolo e sotto la personale responsabilità, vedi RRS regola 4. Il Comitato Organizzatore, il Comitato di Regata ed il Comitato per le Proteste non si assumono alcuna responsabilità per qualsiasi danno che potesse derivare a persone o cose sia in acqua che in terra prima, durante e dopo la regata in conseguenza delle regate stesse.

   15. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate to the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS rule 4, Decision to Race. The Organizing Authority, the Racing Committee and the Protest Committee will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death occuring in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

16. BARCHE APPOGGIO

Si rimanda alle IM24CR

Barche appoggio e/o allenatori dovranno accreditarsi lasciando tutti i propri contatti presso la Segreteria di Regata e ritirare il contrassegno da esporre come indicato dalle IdR. Tutti i mezzi registrati devono aiutare le imbarcazioni dell’organizzazione nelle operazioni di sicurezza, devono prestare la massima assistenza a tutti i concorrenti e devono supportare le barche in avaria.

   16. SUPPORT BOATS

Please refer to IM24CR

Support/Coach boats shall credit at the Registration Office leaving complete contacts and shall collect the identification flag to be displayed, as per SI.

The Class also requires that all Support boats agree to be available for boat & people rescue at any time, and without hesitating should offer thier assistance to any boat that is disabled or sinking.

17. ASSICURAZIONE

Ogni imbarcazione concorrente dovrà essere coperta da assicurazione RCT in corso di validità con massimale di copertura per manifestazione di almeno € 1.500.000,00 o se in altra valuta per un importo equivalente, all’atto dell’iscrizione, tale copertura dovrà essere dimostrata con la presentazione di apposita certificazione ufficiale.

   17. INSURANCE

Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum coverage of € 1.500.000,00 per event or the equivalent if expressed in a different currency. Proof of insurance shall be provided upon registration.
